Lithuania
The small Baltic country of Lithuania was the first republic to separate from the Soviet Union in 1990. It has since developed into a modern European country, and was accordingly accepted into the European Union. The country's landscape is largely shaped by glaciers and a 100-kilometre coastline. The country's economy is quickly growing and one of the best compared to other former Soviet satellites; travellers can expect excellent shopping, quality service and fine treatment in all of the restaurants, cafes and hotels in Lithuania. Dining out is a nice experience, with a local cuisine mainly based on meat, potatoes and sauce, and often consumed with beer, vodka or wine. Some very hot accommodation deals in Lithuania are presented on our website.
